This eggless cookie dough pudding is what cosy cravings are made of. It’s crisp around the edges yet meltingly-soft where it counts and it’s studded with puddles of melted chocolate.
This quick fix dessert comes together in a jiffy – you need less than five minutes to stir together the cookie dough, before you tip it out into your favourite baking dish. All that’s left to do is pop it in the oven and put your feet up for the ultimate treat. It’s warm, it’s gooey and when served with a swoop of ice cream – it’s quite literally the hug in a bite you need at the end of a long day!
Ingredients For This Eggless Cookie Dough Pudding
You need just a few basic pantry staples and store-cupboard staples to whip up this gooey pud:
- Butter
- Sugar (we use a mix of caster sugar and superfine brown sugar, but you could use just caster sugar if you wish)
- Milk (our substitute for the egg!)
- All-purpose flour
- Baking soda (to give our pudding a bit of lift)
- Chocolate chips (always, always measure with your soul!)

Tips for perfecting this eggless cookie dough pudding :
- Don’t over-mix the cookie dough: gently fold the dry ingredients and chocolate chips into the butter mixture until just combined (and no visible streaks of flour remain). Over-mixing can lead to a more tough texture, hardening our pudding
- Baking times vary: keep an eye on the pudding as you’ll want to remove it when the edges are set but the centre is still soft.

Eggless Cookie Dough Pudding
Ingredients
- ½ cup + 1 tbsp butter (127.57 gm)
- 6 tbsp sugar (I used 3 tbsp caster sugar + 3 tbsp brown sugar)
- 2 tbsp milk
- ¾ tsp baking soda
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Melt the butter. Once it has has cooled down, whisk in the sugars and then stir in the milk.

- Sift the flour, baking soda and salt into the same bowl. Gently fold to combine.
- Stir in chocolate chips.

- Tip the cookie dough out into a small balking dish and pop it in a preheated oven at 180C for 8-12 minutes until the edges have puffed, turning golden-brown, but the centre is still soft. It’s important not to over-bake this, if you want the inside to still be gooey!

- Serve hot with ice cream and DIVE IN!
