Paleo Tahini & Chocolate Brownies

Shaana Levy-Bahl's paleo recipe for tahini and chocolate brownies. You'll never guess that these are gluten-free, dairy-free and free of refined sugar!

  • cups tahini
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • cup 100% maple syrup (add 2 tbsp more if you want them sweeter)
  • ½ cup unsweetened cacao powder (you can add a bit more if you want them extra dark)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips


  • Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Prepare an 8×8 pan by lining it with parchment paper, greasing it well.
  • In a bowl, stir together tahini, eggs, maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  • Add cacao powder, baking soda, pink salt and stir until a batter is formed. Slowly fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Bake the brownies for 25 minutes. Allow to cool completely before serving and then enjoy!
