Paleo Tahini & Chocolate Brownies

Shaana Levy-Bahl's paleo recipe for tahini and chocolate brownies. You'll never guess that these are gluten-free, dairy-free and free of refined sugar!
- 1½ cups tahini
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup coconut sugar
- ⅓ cup 100% maple syrup (add 2 tbsp more if you want them sweeter)
- ½ cup unsweetened cacao powder (you can add a bit more if you want them extra dark)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 180C.
Prepare an 8×8 pan by lining it with parchment paper, greasing it well.
In a bowl, stir together tahini, eggs, maple syrup and vanilla extract.
Add cacao powder, baking soda, pink salt and stir until a batter is formed. Slowly fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake the brownies for 25 minutes. Allow to cool completely before serving and then enjoy!
