London Guides: Five Reasons To Visit Swingers West End

Here’s some exciting news for revellers in London. Swingers – a.k.a. The Institute of Competitive Socialising in the City – have just opened a gargantuan new site off Oxford Street (tucked away inside the old BHS building).

Having enjoyed an all-too-merry evening at the launch party recently, I bring you five good reasons why I’d recommend this new spot for your next night out in the West End… Just be sure to invite me along with you?

Crazy Golf

Swingers is of course synonymous with crazy golf and their new 20,000 square foot space has two 9-hole courses to work your way through – The Big Wheel Course and the Helter Skelter Course. The seaside-inspired theme is styled with plenty of playful touches, working in all sorts of jumps and bumps, loop-de-loops, moving obstacles and sneaky traps to keep you firmly on your toes!

3D Photo Podium

You can also step up your social media game while you’re at it, with a zeitgeisty photo podium combining 3D visuals with Insta-friendly Boomerangs and the like!

Line-Up of London’s Best Eats…

In keeping with the seaside theme, there’s a Promenade with beach-huts housing a rotating roster of some of London’s most iconic eats and treats. The launch features Patty & Bun (who do a mean veggie-friendly alternative to their infamous Ari Gold cheeseburger), Made of Dough and Breddos Tacos (where extra guac is *always* a good idea!). It’s definitely worth saving room for a lush scoop (or two) of gelato afterwards – from Hackney Gelato!

… And Plenty to Whet Your Whistle too

As for where and what to drink, each course has been designed with its own ridiculously-inviting bar. You’ll find the Grand Hotel Bar brimming with leafy palms, styled in a vintage nod to the grand palm courts found in old coastal hotels; while the canopied Bandstand Bar recreates well, a retro bandstand.

Cocktails are in no short supply either, with cocktail caddies on hand to keep you topped up on the course! There’s nothing quite like sipping on a classic Negroni as you prepare to tee off…

Party Time

The more, the merrier at Swingers with a plethora of pergolas and private rooms offering a private space for larger groups and parties. And if you’re really looking to splash out, there’s also a nautical-inspired private dining area – the President’s Committee Room.
